Digestive Disease Endoscopy, located in Montgomery County at 11400 Rockville Pike, Suite 108, Rockville, Maryland 20852, was developed to provide ambulatory gastrointestinal health care services. The Unit has one endoscopy procedure room and two recovery stretcher bays.

This Unit is owned and operated by the following established gastroenterologist in the Montgomery County area and is Board Eligible in gastroenterology:

Dr. Obioha, and any future members who may be limited partners of Digestive Disease Endoscopy, will avoid conflicts of interest in carrying out their responsibilities. Ownership will be openly acknowledged. All relationships and dealings that could place a member into a conflict of interest situation with DDE will be fully disclosed to Dr. Obioha, or whomever is the acting Medical Director of DDE.

Purpose:
Digestive Disease Endoscopy, was formed in September of 1996, for the purpose of establishing a single specialty ambulatory endoscopy unit to be certified by Medicare to perform diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures. The procedures that may be performed at Digestive Disease Endoscopy are:
  • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
  • Colonoscopy
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
  • Endoscopic Biopsy
  • Hot Biopsy
  • Polypectomy
  • Endoscopic Cytology
  • Endoscopic Photography
  • Photo Hemorrhoidal Coagulation
